And I thought I never would!

Seriously...
The things we do for our children!
Back in September while we were at the fair,
Todd let Cash play some carny game and he won:)
He didn't just win... he won two freaking fish!
I have been bound and determined to keep animals out of this house.
And look how far it got me.

As we walked out of the fair that night with our two fish in a bag,
My heart kind of changed.
I suppose it grew two sizes:)
I suddenly wondered what we were going to put them in, feed them with, etc.

UGH!

For some reason I started feeling so bad for these two fish in a bag.
As soon as we got home I got them all settled in a container that would be their home for the night.
And then as soon as I awoke the next morning, I ran out to check on the dang fish!

Another UGH!

The black one seemed to be struggling.
It acted like it was starving.
I wanted to cry {SERIOUSLY}.
So we got ready and headed to store.
The fish that I despised was going to die if I didn't help it soon.
We bought all the necessities (like a bowl, some rocks, and some food) and headed for home.
When we walked in, the black fish was afloat at the top of the container.
I was sick for the poor thing, even though deep down inside I hated his fishy guts!
So he got flushed and I been vigilant ever since in keeping this one alive.
Who would have thought?!
I can't stand the thing or his disgusting bowl when it needs cleaned,
but I just can't let myself not take care of it.

And someday someone better thank me!

Hill,
GOOD JOB! I am sure Cash loves it! Be glad it was just a fish you gave into and not a gigantic dog! Matt and I got some fish before we had Noah and they lived FOREVER!!!
