Remember When?

Hey Babe~

Remember 6 years ago today?
We were super New NEWLYWEDS!

That was a good day.
Remember the months before that?

Our first date~July 12, 2003:
We were set up by our matchmakers.
We had dinner and then went and played some mini-golf and rode go-carts.
I beat ya;)
And then we spent most of the night together and when we left there wasn't a kiss or even a hug.
You were disappointed;(
You said you would call before Tuesday...
and my phone never rang;(

Then I got a call from our matchmakers again asking if I wanted to go golfing with all of you.
I agreed and on the way to pick you up, they informed me that you had no idea I was coming.
AWKWARD!
It was a fun night and after we dropped you off and left, you called to see if they could bring me back;)
It's pretty much history from there.
We had lots of late nights!
I don't know how we survived and still went to work the next day.
Remember when we said "I LOVE YOU" for the first time?
Our first kiss?
The (dun, dun, dun) marriage talk?!

Now that brings us to September 13, 2003:
You had been working in harvest for months.
We were both exhausted from spending every waking moment together.
You were supposed to pick me up at 10:00 that morning.
I woke up early and got all dolled up for ya.
I waited... and waited... and waited.
I finally laid down on the couch and decided to get some sleep.
But then I called you...
and you were still sleeping.
You came and we left a couple hours later than planned.

We stopped at the store to buy some snacks and you bought me a ring at the candy machine.
You told me not to take it off.
Pretty sure it stained my finger;(
We drove to Jackson Hole for the day.
Had lunch with your friends.
You spilled red pop all over the car and your cashmere sweater;(
You might have said a bad word;)
Then you took me to the top of a mountain overlooking the Driggs valley at sunset.
You told me to look "over there" and pointed across the way.
I looked and as I turned back around you were on one knee with a ring in hand:)
You told me sweet things and before I knew it that ring was on my finger!
Wedding Plans:)

Remember two days before our engagement photos:
We were hanging out at your house and I was sick.
You made me some tea concoction to make me better and I sipped away.
Before I knew it...
I was swelling up like a whale and I couldn't keep my eyes open.
It all worked out in the end:)

And then came December 12, 2003:

It was a fabulous day.
And then we honeymooned in Maui for the next week:)
U-mazing;)

And since then we've done a lot of great things.

Remember when you took me on that AWESOME favorite date?
We went to RIVERDANCE?!
And don't lie... you loved it, too;)

And now we have two of the cutest boys around!
They make us smile a lot
And stress a lot;)

Oh ya, remember when we bought that RAD scooter?!
We cruised Boise on that thing.
But not together because it was only made for one:(
And that one time I made you haul that scooter up the stairs to our 2nd floor apt. while we were out of town because I was worried that it would get stolen?!
{You must love me}

Oh and another thing.
That one night you jumped out of bed and threw on your jeans because you just KNEW that someone was stealing our beloved scooter?!
And you ran outside with your HUGE sword and all to slay those thieves...
(I'm still laughing)
only to find that a badger was crawling around outside.

All I have to say is that the past 6 years have been really great!
Ya, we've had our ups and downs~
in's and out's.
But really, who doesn't?!
You've done a lot for me
and I've done a lot for you.
We have a lot to look forward to
and a lot to reflect on.
Two cute kids now
and who knows~ maybe more sometime in the future!
Gosh we look like babies!
