That lump in the throat

It's been a while.
We have been pretty busy between swimming lessons, cousins and life in general.
I have had this lump in my throat for a while.
You know the one that can make you cry at the drop of a dime.
For no real apparent reason... just because.
Spilled milk, whiny kids, no husband and family going back to New Orleans.
And then tonight I found this gem.

And the lump in my throat swelled and the tears formed in my eyes.
I am so lucky to be able to call Becky my sister.
The one I never had... until 10 years ago.
And after three weeks of hanging out non-stop, their absence has left it awfully quiet around here.
Kind of hard to swallow.
I miss hearing our boys giggle and play.
I miss the scooter rides and the 4-wheeler "ridah's"
Basically I miss it all.
I guess our daily phone calls will have to do.
And I pretty much think that New Orleans has it pretty good, because they have 4 of the best people I know who live there.
Now, I hope this lump goes away and soon.

Oh sheesh! I was already having a day as it was and just got the kids to bed and the house was all quiet and I came here. And read this. And now I can't see. Gosh darn it. And I'm pretty sure I'm the lucky one here...I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't call and whine to you every day! Thanks for putting up with me, I miss you like crazy! Aaaagh, I can't stop crying. Must stop rambling now. Anyhow, the feeling's mutual, m'dear--I hope you know that.

Oh that seriously made me want to cry. That's how I feel when my sis-in-law Amber leaves. Granted I do have a great sister too! I'm glad you finally got the sister you always wanted! )
