I have been actually thinking about this for a while now. This whole blogging world and stuff. I am starting to feel more and more like just shutting this down. It seems like it takes up way more time than it should and after reading blogs most days I end up feeling like I am a bad mom, a bad wife, etc. So just a fair warning, if this blog isn't here in the near future that is what has happened.

Let me give you another side of the coin to look at. Blogs can be an outlet and a nice hobbie for a mom who needs a break. The only reason everybodies blogs seem like they are so perfect. We are all amking up stories to make our lives look like the little perfect Mormon family. I like reading your blog! You are amazing and so much fun. Really, I know how fun you can be. Does beading and the Miss America Pagent ring a bell?
Hillary please don't shut down your blog it is so cute and I love looking at what you and your cute little family are up to!
Love ya
Katie
Just do what you feel is right. :)
Hillary, I do see what you mean, sometimes eveyone else looks like they are having more fun or have perfect children. But you know that's not true. I just look at it like a way to journal and keep track of our lives. It is so fun to see what everyone is up to. I love to look at your blog and trust me, you are an inspiring mom!!
Hillary you do what you feel is best... but if you do decided to shut down your blog definitely email me your address or we'll never keep in touch! I think you are a way fun person and looked forward to getting to know you better! Don't for one second think that you are not a good mom. I do know you well enough to see what a wonderful mom you are and the great things you are instilling in Cash and soon to be new lil' one! Love ya tons!

I totally know what you mean. I have had thoughts of inadequacy many times after looking at other blogs. But at the same time I like how they inspire me to do and try new things. I think it is a great network of mom's sharing stories and information to help each other. I also love that it is a journaling tool. Without it I for sure wouldn't sit down and write about what is going on in our lives. And the pictures and things on someone else's blog doens't always show what life is really like for them. They may be feeling the same thing when they look at your's. No one wants to share the bad and the ugly with the whole blogging world. Only the good is shown. I hope you don't shut down. I would miss looking at your's. Besides.....who would remind me all the time what the web sites are I can't remember? By the way. I know you are an amazing mom so don't ever let yourself think otherwise.
Sorry for the novel. And I hope it all makes sense tomorrow because I just took an Ambien about 2 hours ago and I'm still awake and feeling a little loopie!
It is so much easier to compare ourselves to everyone else, but how many people are wishing that they had lives more similar to yours? You are amazing and I love reading your comments on my blog--it´s like having a cheerleader on my side! And who would have thought after how many years after high school that we would still have contact and still be friends?! Thanks to blogging! :)
Hillary, I love reading about your blog. I would understand if you didn't have it anymore. I find myself looking at blogs and before I know it 2 or so hours have passed by. Sometimes I like to think of it as my alone time to go away into the blogging world. Since I have started a blog recently I have noticed my aren't as cute as others, but at least it is a journal of my family and what we have been up to. I think you are a wonderful mother. Cash is my favorite for a reason, he has been brought up to be a happy, good little boy. I know how stressful it can be to have a 3 year old (almost) and be 8 months pregnant. Just hang in there it does get better. You have way more patience for things then I do. We need to hang out and have a FUN day. Or just let Cash come over for a play day. Trust me my family is far from picture perfect. Love ya lots.
Hey! I hear you Girl. Imagine how I must feel reading people's blogs who have "normal" lives and put together families... Its discouraging and I feel like my blog is lame. But I don't keep a journal and I guess I want my kids to have memories. So if you decide not to blog, then you'll have to scrapbook or something and that seems like WAY too much work! Loves! ;)
Don't Go! I need you!
NO! I agree with everyone else...who's going to air their dirty laundry everyday on their blog? I love your blog- don't go!
I love looking at your blog, but I know what you mean...sometimes it's like "seriously, did I just spend an hour looking at blogs?!!" If you don't do it anymore, I'll expect some emails with pics of your fam!
Well, my dear, I know we talked about this and you know that I know exactly what you mean. It's definitely questionable sometimes whether this whole blogging thing is worth it. But regardless of whether you keep blogging or not, please know that I love you dearly and think you are an amazing woman--such a great mommy and wife! And I also have to agree with the above--if you shut 'er down, you MUST promise to send me lots of pictures of Cash, and you, and the newest babe or I will die! And just do whatever is best for you. Love you lots!
Hey girl, I only post on the good days. That way when I blurb my sons book he will remember the good stuff. Nobody is perfect and everyone knows that. Dont be so hard on yourself. I wouldn't know where you were if there was no blog!
I'll miss you, but see your point. It's difficult to do it all!!
I know what you mean. I sometimes feel that way after reading blogs, and sometimes I feel like it can take too much time. You should do whatever you feel is best. I like keeping my blog, but I just try to keep things balanced. If I don't have time for it, I take a break for awhile. And I try to remember that we all have unique lives and families. Whatever you decide, we'll have to try to keep in touch! I'm pretty sure I have your email address.
Hillary, You have to do what is right for you but I have loved keeping up with you and Cash on your blog. I think that it is a great way to journal and to look at the good and bad--no one's life is perfect and that is what makes us individuals--how will I know about the new little miss and what you name her if this isn't here--Sharon from Boise
Hill, last night was my last scheduled shift in post surg. I was going to do one night/wk until I have the baby but they hired another full time person and it hasn't been that busy. I'm just going to pick up shifts and some call shifts in L&D. I had some "issues" a few weeks ago but it ended up not being anything. We just decided it wasn't worth a preemie or problems. Ahh..MVH gossip and drama :) When I worked last week and this week everyone was saying "I thought you were on bedrest!" This way if I get shifts thats fine...if not I'll use PTO. We have the same feeling about work;) You need to put an update on here. Did you ever figure out your issue you thought you might have? How about switching dr's? Longest comment ever!
Hill,
Thanks for your comment about Kurt! My heart really hurts for families with medical problems like these but what amazing examples we have around us eh? As far as the blogging goes I hear ya. I mostly just do it for myself so you do what is best for you-although I would super miss yours! Cash is so funny! Have you seen the "so blessed" blog?
http://seriouslysoblessed.blogspot.com/
If not you have to check it out it is so funny! It is a little spoof on how we paint our lives perfect on a blog. hee hee Anyway thanks again.
Don't you dare! Your family is so adorable and it is so much fun keeping up with you this way. Plus in years to come, it acts as a journal in many ways. Print it out in a book and your children will thank you! Don't get discouraged by others blogs,..they all just blog about the good stuff,...No one likes to advertise the crappy stuff going on in their lives...but know it is there. ---By the way,..you MUST do a babymoon! You so deserve it! You've been packing around that baby for how long!? ;) Twist your hubbys arm and go get some alone time! ;)Keep me posted!
I often feel the exact same way - but I hope you don't shut yours down - it is a great way to keep up-to-date and in touch! If you stop blogging, we'll have to find another way to stay in touch! I am excited for you to have another little boy - you are such an amazing mom.
