So after we saw the movie (we give it 5 stars BTW) we came home and dyed some Easter eggs. I love doing this every year. Easter isn't the same without coloring eggs, even if it was only the night before! It was especially fun this year with Cash dipping his hands in the colors and stuff. I'm sure you can imagine...
These are a few of the colors that we had. We did the Brilliant Colors recipe on the box and I must say that it turned out pretty darn amazing.
Oh ya, and the paper cups in the back have a few more colors in them. We ran out of the real deal so we had to throw some cheap cups as well as a tupperware container into the mix.
Dying eggs is a pretty intense thing for an artist who has an imagination like no other. You'll see some of his amazing works here in a few.
You need just the right touch...
Oh, and you also have to explain how this works to the little one. He needs to understand the process if he wants to be able to participate! This isn't just dip and go...
See! Don't they look so pretty. I could have just stared at 'em all night long. They are so vibrant. How can you possibly eat something this pretty?! Oh, don't you worry. We got over the prettiness real quick. There are a few already missing from the pretty carton.
Oh ya, it's tradition in my family growing up that the last egg in the batch is the "ugly egg." My dad always thought this was the best part. So we decided to pass this one on. This ugly egg was the last one and it got to embrace every Easter color at our house. Ain't she a BEAUTY??And while our eggs were bathing in dye we were glued to the t.v. Did you see the UCLA game?? I am not even that big of a sports buff, but that was an amazing game! That was our evening. We had an eventful Easter day, and there are pictures that need to be dealt with. I should get some sleep however because I have a scheduled run in the morning at 7:30. **SIGH**

I am not quite ready to take the plunge- how about you?
We didn't even try to die eggs with connor, I was too afraid of the mess.
Me and my family just signed up for the sawtooth mountain relay race in june. it is two 5 mile legs for each person, a team of 6 people. I am scared though because ever since I had connor my knees have hurt any time I try to run. Any advice?
oh yea- we should totally get together. I am going to be in Boise from the 29th of march - april 17th... but after I get back we should meet in idaho falls for lunch or something. let me know your work schedule.
The pictures turned out great, your eggs turned out so bright, I love it!
First off I'm impressed with the amount of eggs you dyed, we only did six. Second your photography skills are great. You must have a super legit camera! Third Cash is so cute, I cant wait to take Deakan to a movie that he will actually sit through.
I think we used to dye way to many "ugly eggs" Tyler loved the movie too!
I have to say I am impressed that you got Cash to sit thru the movie. I loved the eggs. How fun. We will have to get together sometime now that we are in Blackfoot. =)
So cute! Kids make any holiday (or any day for that matter) so fun! Cash is so cute!
